The Grammarians Youth Football club was founded in 2003 with one team competing in the under 13's Weetabix football league.Over the next five years the club has gone from strength to strength and to date we currently have 11 teams ranging from under 8's upto under 15's with players being fed into the senior football club of the Old Grammarians.The Grammarians Youth Football club compete in the Weetabix league against teams from Corby, Kettering, Wellingborough, Rushden alongside local rivals such as Vicarage Farm, Great Doddington, Volta Juniors, Wellingborough Town, Whitworths and Earls Barton , to name just a few.
The under 12's bought home the first league championship for the Grammarians youth football club in the 2006/07 season. A fantastic season ended with the team gaining a 100% unbeaton record with 18 wins out of 18 and maximum points.
The Grammarians YFC held their 1st annual tournament over the August bank holiday weekend and welcomed 103 teams and 1000 players over the 2 days from Northamptonshire, Leicestershire, Buckinghamshire andCambridgeshire.The fine weather and 6 months of preperation enabled this event to run very well and already plans are in place for next years tournament.
