GRAMMARIANS TOURNAMENT AUGUST 2010

For details on the Grammarians 4th annual tournament to be held over the August bank holiday weekend please visit club news where you can download details and an application form.

GRAMMARIANS YOUTH FOOTBALL CLUB are proud to announce their application for FA Charter Status has been successful. Special thanks to Jon Dimmock for managing our application and all managers, coaches and welfare officers for successfully completing the necessary training courses required under the charter requirements.

We are also very honoured to of been named as Weetabix Club Of The Year which is a fantastic achievement for such a young club and again confirmation of all the hard work done by club officials and players of the Grammarias Youth football Club..

When the youth football club was established it was done so with the ethos that no matter what your skill level or ability if you were prepared to put your commitment into coaching sessions we as a club would support you, provide you with the opportunity to play football and most importantly be part of a team. This philosophy underpins our values as a club still today. Although success is an important motivating force for any organisation this is only achieved by the commitment and encouragement provided by our team of managers, coaching staff and above all the players. This is something we have in abundance!

Would moving kids' football to a summer game help improve the development of young footballers?
Yes - better pitches mean a better chance to develop technique/skills
No - wouldn't make any real difference to development
Maybe - but I'd be worried about more injuries on firm pitches
